ZHRC: Zimbabwe’s Human Rights Commission or Zimbabwe’s High-Class Clowns?

You truly can’t make this up.

The Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission (ZHRC) yes, the same body that’s done next to nothing while human rights crumble within their own borders has now written to the Public Protector of South Africa, crying foul because illegal Zimbabwean nationals are allegedly being denied access to free healthcare in South African clinics and hospitals.

Pause. Breathe. Laugh. Repeat.

We’re supposed to take this seriously?

The ZHRC, which has turned a blind eye while Zimbabwe burns, is now trying to wear a superhero cape in another country?

Fix Your Own Backyard Before Complaining About Your Neighbour’s Gate

This is the same ZHRC that’s been mute on:

  • Abductions of journalists and activists
  • Police brutality against peaceful protesters
  • Collapse of Zimbabwe’s own healthcare system
  • Unemployment, poverty, and corruption running wild

But now they suddenly find their voice... about illegal immigrants in South Africa?

South Africa’s clinics are collapsing under pressure, nurses are underpaid, and citizens wait in long queues. But here comes the ZHRC, galloping in like international moral police, demanding that South Africa carry the load that the Zimbabwean government dropped and abandoned.

How about asking your own government why millions of citizens are fleeing your country to begin with?

The Audacity Is International

The ZHRC has done nothing but release press statements with all the urgency of a sloth on sleeping pills. Yet when it comes to protecting Zimbabwe’s image abroad, they suddenly type emails, sign letters, and act like a world-class human rights body.

It’s giving: "We don’t protect human rights, we export them."

This is the equivalent of a failed chef telling another restaurant how to run their kitchen while their own stove is on fire and rats are running across the floor.

Common Sense? Missing. Logic? Buried. Shame? Nonexistent.

This isn’t just hypocrisy. It’s premium-grade absurdity.

Let’s break it down:

  • You ignore brutal governance at home.
  • You allow your citizens to suffer without dignity.
  • You do NOTHING when people in Zimbabwe are denied medicine, food, jobs, or justice.

But you run to South Africa to complain that illegal Zimbabweans must be treated in clinics built for South Africans, funded by South African taxpayers?

What brand of madness is this?

It’s almost impressive how disconnected from reality the ZHRC has become. It's like watching a clown throw pies at the audience while the circus tent collapses behind him.

South Africa Is Not a Hospital Wing of Zimbabwe

South Africa is not a medical NPO. It’s not a regional clinic. And it’s not a dumping ground for bad governance.

If the ZHRC truly cared about the rights of Zimbabweans, they'd go knock on the doors of ZANU-PF and demand:

  • Healthcare at home
  • Jobs at home
  • Dignity at home

But no. That takes guts. So instead, they pick the easier route crying to South Africa and pretending to be champions of justice.

They must think we're all fools.

Conclusion: Shut Up and Sit Down

Until the ZHRC grows the backbone to confront real injustice at home they must be laughed at, called out, and ignored.

Writing to the South African Public Protector was not brave. It was not noble.
It was pathetic, desperate, cowardly, and deeply ironic.

Instead of writing letters, maybe write a resignation?
