Junior Technical Engineer

Job Description
- Provide technical support for daily production activities
- Implement plans to reduce production machinery downtime
- Support the design and development of furniture products
- Prepare and update technical drawnings using CAD software including Nesting Software
- Conduct Capacity studies
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency
- Introduce processing systems to optimize yield
- Conduct quality checks on materials and finished goods
- Troubleshoot basic production and machinery issues
- Collaborate with production, design and procurement teams
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Management of time and motion study data
- Develop SOP’s (Work Instructions/Operator Preventative Maintenance/Quality Check Points/Process Flow Charts)
- Train and develop operators on SOP’s
- Maintenance of performance measurement software
- Working on LEAN projects
Requirements
- Mechanical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Furniture Design/Wood Technology
- 0-2 years’ experience (internships or in-service training welcome)
- Familiarity with CAD Software
