Job Description
Payroll Processing ( Sage 300)
- Process monthly payroll for salaried and hourly employees across multiple jurisdictions.
- Maintain employee records and payroll data integrity.
- Process new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and statutory requirements (PAYE, UIF, SDL, etc.).
- Reconcile payroll reports and general ledger accounts.
Reporting & Compliance
- Generate payroll reports for management and auditors.
- Submit EMP201, EMP501, and IRP5 reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with SARS and Department of Labour regulations.
Microsoft Office 365 Integration
- Excel for payroll analysis, pivot tables, and dashboards.
- Utilize SharePoint for document management and workflow automation.
- Collaborate via Teams and Outlook for communication and scheduling.
- Use internal systems (S@S) for automation and reporting.
Audit & Controls
- Prepare for internal and external audits.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll data.
- Implement and monitor internal controls.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with HR, Finance, and external service providers.
- Address employee payroll queries promptly and professionally.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Payroll Administration
- 5+ years in payroll administration, with 3+ years on Sage 300 including Job Costing.
- Proficient in Sage 300 People or Payroll
- Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
- Familiar with SharePoint, Teams
- Knowledge of the South African tax and labour legislation
- Knowledge of SADC countries tax and labour legislation
- Knowledge of Payroll best practices and audit
