Job Description
- Removable, maintenance and installation of rotating equipment
- Comply to safety standards / procedures
- Identify all unsafe conditions and bring under the attention of management
- Perform basic job execution planning w.r.t. tools, consumables, spares, 3rd party requirements and safety.
- Conduct plant inspections
Requirements
Formal Education
- Grade 12 with math and science or N3 with math, science and English (MUST) – NQF Level 4
- Qualified as an Artisan Fitter NQF4 (Sasol or Olifantsfontein) (MUST) – NQF Level 4/ trade certificate
- Valid Code 8 drivers license (MUST)
- Valid Code 10 drivers license will be to your advantage
Work Experience
NQF4 artisan certification- with knowledge and practical exposure of maintenance of rotating equipment, which include but not limited to:
- Centrifugal pumps
- Positive displacement pumps
- Mechanical seal installation
- Fin Fans / blowers
- Knowledge of laser alignment
- Knowledge of safety standards / similar safety systems
- Knowledge of quality management system
- Knowledge of environmental management system
2+ years of relevant pump maintenance experience is needed post trade certificate
